Inspection and Maintenance

Homeowners

Roofs are constantly under attack by Mother Nature, structural movement, aging, as well as chemicals present in the atmosphere. While normal aging will occur on all roofs, small problems stemming from neglect and weather can result in costly repairs or premature failure of the roofing system if not detected. A regular program of inspection and repairs will help detect minor problems before they become serious, and most importantly, protecting the homeowner's investment by adding years to the life of the roof.

At Roberts Roofing we advise that homeowners have two roof inspections performed each year; one in the fall and one in the spring. These times fall on either side of winter when roofs need to be evaluated for moisture damage that could have been caused by snow, ice and/or rain. An inspection in the fall helps ensure that minor problems don't become major problems under the pressure of ice and snow or stress from expansion and contraction of the roof membranes due to extreme temperature fluctuations. A spring inspection helps evaluate any damage received during the winter that may prove costly with the heavy spring rains that are so common in Northwest Missouri. With our full roof inspection service, you will have all roofs, chimneys, flashings, gutters and downspouts inspected to assess the current condition of your roof system. We will make any minor repairs if applicable and if extensive work is needed, it will be reported with a detailed written estimate.

When it comes to roof inspection and maintenance, Roberts Roofing has a fully qualified in house staff - no sub-contracting - so you get the highest level of quality and professionalism. With just one call we can do it all!

A regular program of inspection and repairs will help detect minor problems before they become serious, avoiding interruptions of the internal functions within your building, and most importantly, protecting your (churches investment/companies investment) by adding years to the life of the roof. A maintenance program has two areas of responsibility – scheduling the inspection and conducting the inspection.

  1. Scheduling Roof Inspections. At least two inspections should be made every year. Ideally, inspections should take place in the spring to check on damage that may have occurred in the winter. The second inspection should be in the fall to be sure that the roof is in good condition for the upcoming winter months. Inspections should also be made after any other occurrences that might affect the roof. (Example: storms, construction activities, fires, etc.)
  2. Conducting Inspections. All components of the roofing system should be closely inspected and a record made of any signs of deterioration, unusual traffic patterns, poor drainage, accumulated debris, displacement or loss of ballast, or other conditions.

With this service, you will have all roofs, flashings, gutters and downspouts inspected. After this thorough inspection, we will report the current condition of your roof system. We will make any minor repairs if applicable and if extensive work is needed, it will be reported with a detailed written estimate.
